We are excited to team up with the Cloud Innovation Centre to deliver this event around Cloud computing and Big data, and the benefits it can bring to business.
Cloud Computing is not only revolutionising how business do IT, but in many cases, is creating new business models that present exciting opportunities and some significant threats. The first talk on the agenda will explain what Cloud Computing is, in non-technical language, and what it means to business.
‘Big data’ is simply more data than you’re used to handling and given the exponential growth in our ability to collect and store data almost every business has to deal with ‘Big data’. Our second talk will address why Big Data matters and how you can exploit data to reduce costs and improve services.
Many are surprised to learn that the North-East is taking a lead in Cloud and Big Data initiatives. This talk will illustrate a number of exciting projects currently under way which can directly benefit business.
