What is Social Impact?
Understanding how you make a difference to the communities you work with and demonstrating your social value to funders, commissioners and stakeholders.
Our upcoming talk will give you more understanding of how to understand and measure social impact using the various methods available. Jo Powell, Corporate Finance senior manager and Kate Welch OBE, Chief Executive of Social Enterprise Acumen, will share their experience including the recent Impact Readiness Fund projects with a range of organisations, at different stages on the journey of measuring social impact. They will show the steps in the process including deciding what to measure, how to go about setting the processes in place to produce the right results, and then how to share this information.
We will be inviting a local charity that we worked with through the Impact Readiness Fund to talk through their practical experience of integrating social impact recording to the organisation.
The timing of this free event to be held in the UNW Boardroom (Ground Floor), Citygate, St James’ Boulevard, Newcastle, is as follows:
Registration: 4.00pm
Briefing starts: 4.30pm
Finish: 5.30pm approx.
We hope to see you on Wednesday 30 September and if you are unable to attend, please pass this invitation on to your colleagues.
